    Kūrybiškumo skatinimas per žaidybinimą pagal žaidėjų tipus

    Tikslas – išnagrinėti žaidybinimo taikymo teorines prielaidas skatinant individualų bei kolektyvinį kūrybiškumą atsižvelgiant į žaidėjų tipus. Metodologija – remiantis literatūros lyginamąja analize nagrinėjami autorių darbai, atskleidžiantys žaidybinimą kaip metodą, bei kūrybiškumą, kaip fenomeną. Lyginamosios analizės tikslas – atrasti žaidybinimo taikymo prielaidas įvairaus kūrybiškumo formų skatinimui bei išnagrinėti žaidėjų tipologijas, pritaikant joms žaidimų mechanikos elementus. Rezultatai – straipsnyje pateikiamos žaidybinimo taikymo prielaidos, nagrinėjamas sąryšis tarp įsitraukimo, panirimo ir tėkmės būsenų. Aiškinamas tėkmės būsenos vaidmuo plečiant ekspertinių žinių bazę, nagrinėjamos žaidėjų tipologijos, pagal kurias aprašoma žingsnių seka, nurodanti žaidybinimo mechanikos elementų taikymo gaires kūrybiniame procese. Pateikiamos rekomendacijos tolesniems moksliniams tyrimams. Tyrimo ribotumas – nėra empirinių tyrimų, patvirtinančių tėkmės būsenos sąryšį su padidintu kūrybiniu produktyvumu. Ne visos žaidėjų skirstymo tipologijos grįstos empiriniais faktais. Praktinė reikšmė – žaidybinimo praktinis taikymas skatinant kūrybiškumą leistų padidinti nestandartinių problemų sprendimo potencialą taikant išorinius sužadinimo veiksnius, dėl kurių daugiau laiko praleidžiama atliekant kūrybines užduotis. Taikant žaidimo mechanikos elementus priklausomai nuo asmenybės / žaidėjo tipo galima padidinti jo motyvaciją užsiimti kūrybine veikla.

    Practical implications – by developing further research in the use of gamification while fostering creativity it is possible to determine, whether or not the “creative domains” should apply more measures of gamification in their activities. Value – the article emphasises the theoretical analysis of gamification and its applicability in fostering creativity. First of all, the context of the rise of gamification is examined. The Generation Y, or the Millennials, is the main target group for gamification applications. The justification of the method is based on the social context formed by a generation of people who like to be stimulated, entertained and engaged. The Millennials are used to advanced technologies; they make the game industry one of the most profitable in the field of entertainment. This creates possibilities for a wider use of game mechanic elements and game thinking in the contexts directly unrelated to games. Furthermore, the definition of gamification is also a controversial issue, since scientists do not agree as to the range of elements that gamification involves. Although gamification is created as a method to increase engagement by using elements of game mechanics, it is explained through theories of self-determination and “flow”. The possible correlation between reaching the state of “flow” and fostering creativity is a questionable issue, as only a few studies have focused on the idea.

    Interaction between national governments and ICANN while administering the internet

    That is why the authors present their subjective opinion and suggest one of the possible Internet governance narratives as a basis for further discussion. Practical implications – the authors accentuate main sources of international friction between other state governing institutions and the ICANN. If the Internet administration structure will is left at the same status, there may be more upcoming hazards. The insights and recommendations in this article may be used as a basis for further problem analysis. Value – the article emphasizes current Internet governance problems and the role of the ICANN, while trying to moderate the interests of different parties. The expansion of the Internet allows implementing new service and business models. As a political tool, it is also attracting attention from different groups of interests and oversteps the boundaries of widely accepted values, such as freedom of speech, accessibility of information or economic interests. This question has a clear geopolitical context, for that reason, decision related with the future of the ICANN and the Internet governance should be solved responsibly. The authors give their insights about the topic by determining the main presumptions for the transformation of the ICANN’s legal status and by analyzing positive and negative sides of such hypothetical outcome.

    The future potential of internet of things

    many problematic issues and research challenges related to the IoT. Few of the most significant are related to standardization of technology, legal regulation and ethical aspects concerning the IoT technology. Research limitations/implications: The IoT is a popular trend promoted by the business sector and governmental bodies. There are few comprehensive studies and projects which talk about the benefits that business and society could gain from the IoT. There is a lot less information about the possible risk and problematic aspects, and a lack of agreements between the developers of technologies. In the scientific community arguments are also varied depending on the technologies used and regulation models adopted. For that reason it is possible to review the topics only focusing on narrow, but most comprehensively analyzed spectrum of problematic issues. Practical implications: Theoretical framework for future research in the field was developed.

    Legal challenges related to the regulation of a domain name system

    Value—the article emphasizes potential domain naming conflicts and disputes concerning the usage of common terms and phrases in order to manipulate information for illicit purposes. The legal and ethical aspect related to the limitation of domain name usage is reviewed when various combinations of top level domains and second level domains may arise due to newly-created generic top-level domain names. The usage of these methods may inflict potential threats for the legitimate interests of institutions, individuals or other legal subjects. The reasonable limitations of domain naming system could possibly help to protect the legal interests of individuals and to secure the legitimate expectations arising from a historical, cultural and legal perspective. The growth and impact of the internet influences global economic, political and business processes. The emerging of internet of things and other adaptations of the technology determine the necessity to liberalize the governance of a domain name system.
