SOCIAL EFFICIENCY OF LABOUR LAW The work is not only the simple activity of people. The work is one of the most important social institutes, which combines two different groups of community members : employees and employers. The relation between employee and employer is determinated by the Labour of Code of Lithuanian Republic, other kind of special Legal Acts. Upon entering into force of the New Labour Code on 1st January 2003, the labour relations regulation is based on new legal model. The new tendency in the Labour Legislations was based on experience of European Union members and international labour organizations. The work analyses the basic principles of the Labour Law, as well the most important institutes in the Labour Legislation: Conclusion of Employment Contract, Execution and Termination of Employment Contract, collective labour relations. , kolektyviniai darbo santykiai. The work analyses the concept of the Efficiency of the Labour Law and different aspects which might affect the efficiency of the Labour Legislation. The analysis of these problems shows, that the problems of efficiency are related mostly not to legislation as such, but to the applying of the existing rules.
