Summary of Master‘s Degree Thesis Business and customs – strugle of opposites and partnership. Key terms: business, customs, common trade policy, free movement of goods, single market unite, customs duties, export, import and customs activities. The first part of the present work is based on the theory and analysis of business. Today international business may be characterized as a global event the initiation to which is based on the international expansion. The main kinds of business, cross – border business steps and expanded business influence on the present world are analysed. The second part of the present work is dedicated to some special customs activities concerning functions of customs, organizational aspect of its activities as well as the role of customs in the international trading, partnership between customs and business, and the law of customs. The priority of the main responsibilities in the customs activities is paid to the protection of the State border, the formation of the State’s budget as well as to asswrance of preserving of regulations on the international trading law. The means of customs supervision are to be efficiently implemented. The regulation field of the customs activity is wide enough. The third part concerns the investigation of customs activities, the analysis of foreign trading partners as well as the improvement of customs intrarelations. Statistical data analysis is also presented in this part. The main problems which were faced during the process of creating of this master’s degree thesis were concerned with statistics of the customs and business of Lithuania. egz., INTRASTAT report collecting data from June to December, 2004 (Table 2); The Main foreign trading partners of Lithuania to May, 2004 and after May, 2004. Also the contribution into the budget of Lithuania is analyzed. In the conclusion, the main trends of the customs activities under present international relations are discussed on the basic of statistical and evidence.
