Abstract

In the final work author examines questions of the juvenile offender’s personality in criminology statistic. It researches types of juvenile offender’s personalities, characters, pointed social factors, which influence the formation of juvenile offender the most. By analyzing the researched object there are identified reasons of juvenile offender formation, characters. In the graduation dissertation Vidmantas Balčas examines researching object – juvenile offender’s personality. The goal of research was to explore the social factors, which influence the formation of juvenile offender. To reach the goal there were set tasks: 1. to set a concept of juvenile offender; 2. to examine social peculiarity and factors, which determine it; 3. to examine social factors influence, which impact formation of juvenile offender; 4. to identify social – demographic factors influenced juvenile criminal behavior; 5. to examine how juvenile offenders realize the reasons of criminal behavior; 6. to examine juvenile offenders’ personalities elements by criminology statistic; 7. to provide summary and suggestion how to improve the juvenile offenders prevention, to secure and protect children rights. The final work contains of four parts. The first part „The concept of juvenile offender“ supplies the conceptions of juvenile, offender, crime, socialization and others. It is also sets the explanation of juvenile offenders concept according Lithuanian law. In the second part „The criminologist characteristic of juvenile offenders“ it is analyzing juvenile offenders personalities types, also there are analyzing criminological statistic data about pupil, working juvenile, not working and not going to school young offenders. The third part „The social environment influenced juvenile offenders’ formation“ analyzing social environment factors, which influence formation of juvenile offenders’ personalities in young age. It is analyzing such social factors as: family influence, schools destruction, peer pressure, mass media. In the forth part „Juvenile criminal behavior prevention“ it is supplies the concept of word „prevention“ and analyzing by aspects: 1. law, which regulates child and juvenile prevention, analysis, 2. implementing of prevention programmes and projects; 3. police officers and state officers competence and work analysis. In the end of the final work there are conclusions and proposals, which by author could improve to implement juvenile offenders’ prevention, to protect and secure child’s rights.
