SUMMARY The subject topic of the final project work is “The Problems of Women’s Employment in the Context of Policy of Gender Equal Opportunities”. Keywords: equal gender opportunities, women’s employment, segregation of the labour market, unemployment rate, employment rate. According to the statistical data, women’s employment remains smaller than men’s employment. On the subject of the problems of women’s employment and equal opportunities, society are not disposed to acknowledge this problem and existing structure of gender which relates to real order, traditions, and habits. Women’s situation in labour market is burdened by vertical and horizontal segregation, problems of family and employment coordination, insufficient supply of institutional child’s care, standard aspects of gender. Wage gaps between men and women, low level of information of gender parity and equal opportunities occur frequently. Although, EU countries have realized many legal acts against gender discrimination in wages, working conditions, and social security; common problems of discrimination by age, gender, and disablement take place in public life. The aim of the final project work is to establish women’s position of equal opportunities; women’s employment problems which are influenced by social, economical, and psychological factors. The aim was attained by the research “Evaluation of the Problems of Women’s Employment in Silale region” On purpose to evaluate the problem, the method of social research was chosen. The factors which determine the problems of women’s employment were analyzed.
