Title of Master’s degree thesis: International Maritime Organisation: structure and functions. This thesis contains an analysis of legal acts accepted by international organisations, overview of structure of the International Maritime Organisation, its functions, activity, decision adoption procedure and information on the legal grounds for the activity of this organisation, including its role in the international maritime law. The study consists of: introduction, three chapters (sections) and conclusions. The first chapter is devoted to the description of incorporation of the International Maritime Organisation, disclosure of its concept and competencies. It also provides an analysis of the Conventions which have a crucial significance to the activity of the aforementioned organisation. The second chapter discusses the content of structure of the International Maritime Organisation. The third chapter analyzes the goals of the International Maritime Organisation, its functions and decision adoption procedure. At the end of the thesis the author’s conclusions are provided. The conclusions contain a brief assessment by the author of the goals and content of the International Maritime Organisation, its competence, including an effect of specific international legal acts on its activity, also, legal assessment of the Organisation’s structure and elements, analysis of its functions.
