Ūkininkų situacija: Tauragės ir Plungės rajonų atvejų analizė

Lietuva nuo seno žinoma pasaulyje kaip žemės ūkio šalis, turinti ilgametes žemdirbystės tradicijas. Tačiau šiuo metu žemdirbystė yra viena problematiškiausių ūkio šakų mūsų šalyje. Be socialinių problemų, tokių kaip nedarbas, migracija, išsilavinimo ir kvalifikacijos stoka, egzistuoja nemažai kitų reiškinių, stabdančių kaimiškųjų regionų konkurencingumą ir efektyvaus žemės ūkio formavimąsi. Tai labiausiai sąlygoja netinkama žemės valdų struktūra, vyraujantys smulkūs, neefektyvūs ir neracionaliai suformuoti ūkiai, nepritaikyta žemės ūkiui infrastruktūra, nepakankamas apsirūpinimas šiuolaikine žemės ūkio technika. Šiuo metu ūkininkai ir kiti kaimo žmonės, kam žemė vis dar yra pragyvenimo šaltinis, išgyvena pokyčius, kuriems įtakos turi ekonominė krizė. Visais laikais ūkininkų gyvenimo ir veiklos sąlygos nebuvo itin geros, tačiau ypač jos pasikeitė pastaraisiais metais Lietuvai tapus Europos Sąjungos (ES) nare, o visos susikaupusios problemos išryškėjo per sunkmetį.

The paper presents the current situation of development of farmers' farms in the Lithuanian districts of Taurage (Skaudvilė County) and Plungė (Plateliai County). Our material in this text and main conclusions are based on the analysis of the latest statistical data and scientific literature, as well as on the research into the sociological survey of farmers. The aim of the work is to summarize the researches into the results of agrarian and alternative activities of farmers' farms by revealing the mam problems, and to offer some solutions for improving of this activity. The objectives of this article are the following: to collect information about the current situation in fanning; to assess it and to reveal the problems of activities of farms: to review the specific features of rural tourism business: to present recommendations for improvement of the situation in a contemporary Lithuanian village. Essential indicators and dynamics of fanners' economical activity (number of fanners, average size of farms, their types and specialization, technical provision, evaluation of perspectives, etc.) are highlighted. We analyze the impact of EU support on fanners" farms. Up to now only the large fanns were supported. Since 2008 the small farmers have the possibility to use the EU support. But this period of integration will be rather long. The obstacles to development of the country tourism activity, in homesteaders' opinion, are the following: lack of funds and the problem with communication in foreign language.
