Abstract
The aim of the article is to reveal attitudes of social workers and factors affecting families at social risk. The first part of the article presents the concept of social risk family, identifies the problems determining inability to meet the needs of children from social risk families, and consequences of this inability. Pursuant to the results of the qualitative research, the second part provides the analysis of social workers’ attitude toward factors determining fulfilment/non-fulfilment of needs of children raised in social risk families. The research methods include: the analysis of scientific literature and the method of a semi-structured interview.
