Išvados. Tarp bendrojo lavinimo mokyklose besimokančių ir bendrabučiuose gyvenančių paauglių paplitę rizikos veiksniai (rūkymas, alkoholio vartojimas). Psichosocialinė aplinka paaugliams nėra visiškai palanki.
The aim of the study was to evaluate factors influencing adolescents' health in boarding-schools of Vilnius city. Methods. An anonymous survey of 191 pupils aged 11-18 in two boarding-schools was applied in the study. SPSS statistics software was used for date analyze. Values were considered significant, when p < 0.05. Results. The date of the study showed that 36.1 % of adolescents were not involved in extra curricular physical activities, 42.9 % have smoked, 27.7 % - consumed alcohol drinks. 42.8 % of adolescents reported that the relationship with teachers was not satisfactory. 59.7 % of adolescents experienced bullying; one of two pupils felt not being safe. Significant differences were observed in smoking, alcohol consumption and bullying prevalence between two boarding schools. Adolescents lack knowledge regarding stress coping and readiness to live on their own. Awareness of adolescents and sources of health information are similar between schools. Conclusions. Smoking and alcohol consumption have been prevailing health risk factors within boarding schools. The psychosocial environment is not sufficiently friendly to adolescents.
