Abstract
Teaching World literature in Translation is a long standing tradition, a necessity and a convenience. For Bachelor degree students at Institute of Humanities, Mykolas Romeris Vilnius, Lithuania who study English and Korean languages, Korean Literature in Translation is most of the above. Korean literature is integrated into a broader World Literature course, but because of the class-time and individual study limits a careful selection of Korean literary material to be studied is key. As a suggestion for creating World Literature course which accommodates Korean Literature along with multinational literatures of modern period three broad reading strands with their theoretical approaches are suggested: city literature, women`s literature, and animality in literature.
