The subject of the present article is the political activity of the social democrats - members of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party - that stayed in Lithuania during the German occupation in the second half of 1915 and the first half of 1917, that is, during the period till the idea of the Lithuanian council was produced. The article is not concerned with the political activity of the members of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party who withdrew to Russia or other countries, and the activity of other social-democratic-socialist parties and groups...
