Medievel literary musical genres in the Lithuanian poetry of the 20th century

The topic of the paper is dedicated to the expression peculiarities of worldly and church genres, which were popular in the Middle Ages, and to some lineament of them in the Lithuanian poetry of the 20th century. The problem of the article is to research possibilities of transformations of structure and semantics of medieval literary-musical genres in modern literature. Therefore the article first of all discusses theoretical and methodological bases of such researches. The paper will discuss such church genres as psalm, anthem, their compositional features, analogues in poetry also the motifs of church liturgy are analyzed (in the works of B. Brazdžionis, A. Miškinis, A. Nyka-Niliūnas, etc.). Worldly genres, which were popular in the folklore, also creation of troubadours and trouveres (rondellus, song, ballads, bar form, etc.), while being transformed, still stayed in the poetry till nowadays. The article is based on the works of W. Wolf, V. Vasina-Grossman, D. Jakaitė, V. Bobrovsky, J. Girdzijauskas, etc., also, a comparative methodology is used.
