Abstract
The article shows the possibilities of using new technologies such as event-related data stored in car information systems, video recordings in traffic accident investigations. All the analysis is based on presentation of concrete investigation where without the use of the data obtained from these devices, a detailed investigation would not be possible. Asing on main findings emerging problems and perspectives are discussed.
