School agenda 21
Klaipėdos universitetas |
A pilot project School Agenda 21 was carried out to develop, implement and analyse the possible models of education for sustainable development (BSD) at the school level. The project was based on action-research methodology, integrating an innovative practice, learning and inquiry process. Activities included integration of sustainable development/real-life issues into school curriculum, the development of key competences and participation in solving community problems. The results of research clearly demonstrates that ESD contributes significantly to the quality education and stimulates changes of the school culture by joining various educational tasks and offering new opportunities for creativity and self-expression of students and teachers.
