Fostering creativity through self-reflection

In the field o f reflective practice, self-reflection is described as a type o f “thinking about” which enables problem solving involving the construction o f an understanding and creative refraining o f the situation to allow professionals to apply and develop the hwwledge and skills o f their profession. The aim o f the study is to explore selfreflection impact on creativity in portfolio-based learning.. The methods o f the research include the analysis o f methodological references, a quantitative research, statistical data analysis (SPSS statistical package fo r social sciences). Results. The present article makes a contribution to the development o f self-regulation and self-reflection form the point o f view o f creativity. Conclusions. The main conclusion is drawn that in the self-reflection phase o f selfregulation, self-regulated learners use different strategies fo r generating ideas and creatively make all necessary alterations.
