Covid-19 is a new virus that has been under observation since its outbreak in 2019. The virus is characterized by a rapid and difficult-to-control spread which results in a high number of patients’ death due to complications. Yet, proper use of preventive measures can significantly reduce the spread of this virus. The objective of this article is to determine the knowledge of nurses on the Covid-19 preventive measures. The methodology of the research: a quantitative research was carried out, applying an anonymous questionnaire method. 113 nurses participated in the research. Due to the quarantine in Lithuania, nurses responded to the questionnaire online. The research was conducted from 11 November, 2020 till 16 November, 2020. Based on the data provided, it was found that the nurses are interested in the information on Covid-19. As this topic is new and relevant, nurses want to learn more on safety while nursing patients diagnosed with Covid-19. The research revealed that a majority of nurses know how to safely put on and take off a face mask and how often to replace it with a new one. In addition, most nurses know what instructions to give for caregivers that look after patients at home.
