The analysis is based on the model of Lithuanian sports federations performance indicators. The basic principle of allocating the public funding for federations is based on athletic performance in significant international competitions. Nevertheless, many completed research results (madella et al., 2005; Bayle & Robinson, 2007; Chappelet, 2010; Mowbray, 2012) have shown that these measures are not sufficient to evaluate the achievement level of the goals set by the organization, the organization manager's abilities to attract and adequately employ human, financial and physical resources for attaining the targets and to evaluate the organizations' performance. The study analyzes the examples of sport federations funding models used in foreign contries. Two groups of experts, representatives from national sport authority and sport federations, evaluated the organizational performance model developed to measure federations' activities. The majority of performance indicators were accepted by all experts (32 out of 40), but in the evaluation of individual performance indicators the degree of agreement was quite low. The research results will foster the federations' organizational performance in the interests of both federations and the government.
