Abstract (en)
The paper describes the use of two mathematical computer programs - Mathcad and Statgraphics - in the teaching of the course "Information technologies in engineering". The use of the different mathematical software covers a large number of engineering problems. Mathcad capabilities encourage students to construct their own algorithms and programs in addition to standard software. Statgraphics program requires from students to have a god statistical background. That stimulates the interests of students to improve their knowledge and apply them better in practical use.
