Items 2, 3 and 4 of Article 7 of the Law on Citizenship that provide for the situations when a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania may also be a citizen of another state are set forth not clearly enough and, therefore, may be interpreted in a varied manner. It is impossible to interpret them only literally (grammatically), since such interpretation would very much expand the situations when a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania may also be a citizen of another state, but this would be incompatible with the Constitution.
