The article analyses the efficiency of messaging means. The aim is to determine common errors in messaging system, describe emerging issues and their solutions. There is preliminary research of messaging and collaboration systems used by open source software developers and possibilities to use them in other areas. Article indicates how achievements in information technologies can improve communication between members of various communities.
