Background. Lithuania saw slight changes in incidence of syphilis over the last few years: from 9.6 to 7.6 cases/100 000 population in 2009 and 2012, respectively. Method. Analysis of the national STI database for 2009-2012 was carried out. Results. In 2012, there were 227 reported cases of acquired syphilis in Lithuania and one case of congenital syphilis (CS) compared to 330 cases (4 cases of CS) in 2009 and 347 cases (2 cases of CS) in 2010.
