Abstract (en)
The paper discusses the importance of the President of the Republic of Lithuania in Lithuania's political system. The Constitution of the Republic of Lithuania, which was adopted by the citizens of Lithuanian Republic by a referendum from 25 October 1992 states that the President of the Republic of Lithuania is the Head of the State. The paper presents the elections procedure of the President of the Republic of Lithuania, the limits of his competence and power, as well as possibilities of collaboration with the other state institutions.
