Straipsnyje pateikiami kai kurie sveikatos technologijų sampratos ir sveikatos technologijų vertinimo raidos aspektai: įvairių šalių sveikatos technologijų vertinimo organizacijų kūrimosi istorija, jų funkcijos ir veiklos principai. Taip pat aprašomi šios srities tarptautinio bendradarbiavimo pavyzdžiai, parodomas tarpvyriausybinių organizacijų vaidmuo ir jų įtaka sveikatos technologijų vertinimo plėtotei. Analizuojama visuomenės sveikatos technologijų vertinimo problema ir pateikiamos pirminės bei antrinės profilaktikos technologijų sampratos. Straipsnyje aptariama sveikatos technologijų vertinimo patirtis ir poreikis Lietuvoje.
The article focus on the development of the concept of health technology and health technology assessment, including a history of health technology assessment agencies established in various countries and their organizational aspects. The successful examples of international collaboration and the role of intergovernmental organizations in developing health technology assessment are summarized. More emphasis is given to health technology assessment in public health, including primary and secondary preventive technologies. This article presents the development of health technology assessment in Lithuania.
