Abstract
The peculiarities of the current state of economic development necessitate a rethinking of the basic approaches to the formation of specialists in the field of economics and management. Satisfaction of business needs in specialists with a wide range of different abilities and abilities is connected with introduction of the newest approaches to training of specialists. An important role in this plays a competent approach. The introduction of a competency-based approach involves the integral essence of competencies.
