Abstract
Land Use Land Cover (LULC) is one of the most critical drivers of change. In recent decades, urban and agricultural expansion have threatened protected areas, and these environments are vital to protecting nature and cultural heritage. Therefore, land transitions that increase ecosystem degradation may affect protected areas' function and main aims. In Lithuania, urbanisation and agricultural intensification are pressuring the habitats inside protected areas. This work aims to assess the land use transitions inside Lithuanian protected areas.
