The paper presents an algorithm for construction a formal asymptotic solution for weakly nonlinear hyperbolic systems with slowly varying coefficients and periodical initial conditions. The goal of the work is to get asymptotic expansion uniformly valid in a long time interval. The methods of two scales and averaging are used in the paper.
