The article deals with the system of Lithuanian business enterprises, its classification according of the legal forms and their sizes of Lithuanian companies and their short characteristics. The dynamic tendencies of numbers of companies by corporate legal forms and their sizes and the distribution of employees according of the legal form and their size before and during the economics crises in Lithuania are discussed. The macroeconomic criterion of efficiency for assessment of activities of kinds of enterprises is presented. On the basis of statistical date the macroeconomic efficiency of enterprises kinds is analyzed.
