Current customer service improvement solutions in the fashion industry in Lithuania: the case of ZaraItem type:Publication, research article[2024][S4][S004,S008][10]; ; Jakavonytė, GabrielėEcoforum., 2024, p. 1-10The development and digitalization of retail trade have resulted in increased competition and the erasure of geographical boundaries. The COVID-19 pandemic has further changed customer behavior, giving rise to new competitors, particularly from the Asian market. These new fashion brands not only offer attractive prices and acceptable quality, but also constantly update their collections in online shops, offer various promotions, discounts, and excellent customer service, which pique buyers' interest and encourage them to try their clothes. The objective of this paper is to analyze modern customer service solutions in the fashion industry in Lithuania with the aim of enhancing customer satisfaction in Zara stores. To assess the situation in Zara stores in Lithuania, a quantitative research method utilizing a questionnaire was employed to gather data from 109 respondents. The analysis and discussion of the survey data from Zara store customers revealed the main customer service issues, including moderate satisfaction with the product range and quality, low satisfaction with Zara's" pricing strategies, loyalty programs, and online store. While respondents expressed satisfaction with the physical store environment, they were dissatisfied with the lack of rest-waiting areas in shopping halls. There is a high demand for modern customer service solutions in both digital and physical environments.
18 Learners’ perceptions of performance in major speaking activities at tertiary levelItem type:Publication, research article[2020][S1][H004][11]; Šliogerienė, JolitaJournal of teaching English for specific and academic purposes. Niš : University of Niš, 2020, vol. 8, no. 2., p. 135-145The objective of the research is to explore learners‘ attitudes to their performance in oral class activities at tertiary level. The research method employed the survey on key speaking issues such as spontaneous speaking, short talks, participation in discussions or debates, and delivering PPPs on professional topics. The learners were asked to assess their performance in speaking on the 5-point Likert scale ranging from ‚very difficult‘ to ‚very easy‘ and reflect on the difficulties they faced while speaking in front of the audience. The respondents are 145 full-time students of two specializations who study at the VGTU, Vilnius. Different methods of statistical treatment of students‘ responses by a means of the SPSS procedures have been analyzed with the aim of selecting the appropriate one for the obtained data. Computations of the Student‘s t-test yield critical t-values that indicate that obtained data are significant at the probability of 95%. Learners‘ reflections on speaking difficulties indicate fear of making mistakes, lack of self-confidence, shortage of ideas, and complexity of topics.

Kaunas : ASU, 2015, t. 37, Nr. 3., p. 399-405The paper aims to evaluate the impact of support on Lithuanian farms investments. Logistic regression, also called a logit model, was used to determine the probability of investing. The regression was estimated on cross-sectional data set of Lithuanian family farms participating in the Farm Accountancy Data Network. It was specified for investments in machinery and equipment. The research showed that support encourages investments in machinery and equipment. However, scenario analysis revealed that the impact of different support scenarios on the probability of investing is relatively small. It was also confirmed the importance of farm characteristics in making investments.
