The MA thesis analyzes Lithuanian, Russian, Estonian and American legislative acts regulating criminalization of crimes against confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of electronic data and information systems from comparative aspect. After having analyzed specific legislation, particular drawbacks and advantages are disclosed. The author discusses possibilities of applying legislative acts concerning confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of electronic data and information systems of USA, Russia and Estonia in Lithuania. The aim of the thesis is to analyze crimes against confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of electronic data and information systems from the comparative aspect. The object under investigation is comparative analysis of crimes against electronic data and information systems committed in Lithuania and countries in question taking into consideration Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania, amendments to articles 196, 197, 198, 198¹, 198² of Criminal Code formulated by the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania, Convention on Electronic Crimes and other international legislative acts. Comparative, investigative analysis and historic methods were used in the thesis. Also, logical method and other methods were employed. By using historic method, laws which are valid at present are compared with the laws that were valid earlier. In general, references were made to Criminal Code f the Republic of Lithuania, amendments to articles 196, 197, 198, 198¹, 198² of the Criminal Code formulated by the Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania, Convention on Electronic Crimes and other international legislative acts. The thesis analyses legislative acts as well as discusses possibilities of applying legislative acts concerning confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of electronic data and information systems of USA, Russia and Estonia in Lithuania. Final conclusions are made after having achieved the set aim of the thesis, namely, having analyzed criminalization of crimes against confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of electronic data and information systems.
