Tyrimo tikslas. Atskleisti įgalinančių socialinių paslaugų teikimo galimybes asmenims su negalia dienos centruose teoriniu ir praktiniu aspektais. Tyrimo metodai: mokslinės literatūros, dokumentų analizė. Pasirinktas kokybinio tyrimo metodas, pusiau struktūruotas interviu. Empiriniame tyrime dalyvavo 10 socialinių darbuotojų. Teorinėje dalyje atskleista, kad dienos centruose asmenims su negalia yra organizuojamos įvairios užimtumo veiklos, kurios padeda jiems realizuoti save, perimti bendruomenės tradicijas, gerina emocinę ir psichologinę sveikatą, padeda ugdytis socialinius įgūdžius, savarankiškumą. Įgalinimas yra procesas, kuris reikalauja asmens su negalia įsitraukimo ir aktyvaus dalyvavimo planuojant, organizuojant ir vertinant paslaugas, skatinantis asmens pasitikėjimą savimi, jo savarankiškumą. Socialiniai darbuotojai atnaujina turimas žinias, kelia bendrąsias ir specialiąsias kompetencijas, diegia inovacijas. Socialinis darbuotojas savo darbe naudoja įgalinimu pagrįstas intervencijas. Empirinio tyrimo duomenys atskleidė, kaip socialiniai darbuotojai supranta įgalinančias paslaugas dienos centruose, kokie veiksniai turi įtakos teikiant įgalinančias paslaugas, kokios yra asmens su negalia įgalinimo priemonės, su kokiais sunkumais susiduria socialiniai darbuotojai bei kokie yra sunkumų įveikos būdai, kokia dienos centre teikiamų paslaugų nauda asmenims su negalia, kokie buvo iššūkiai teikiant įgalinančias paslaugas COVID-19 pandemijos metu, kokios atrastos galimybės teikiant įgalinančias paslaugas COVID-19 pandemijos metu ir kokios svarbiausios socialinių darbuotojų kompetencijos teikiant įgalinančias paslaugas.

Aim of the research. To reveal the theoretical and practical aspects of the provision of empowering social services for people with disabilities in day care centers. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, documents. Qualitative research method, semi-structured interviews. 10 social workers participated in the empirical study. The theoretical analysis reveals that day care centers organize various activities for persons with disabilities, which help them to realize themselves, adopt community traditions, improve emotional and psychological health, help them to develop social skills and develop autonomy. Empowerment is a process that requires the involvement and active participation of the person with disabilities in the planning, organizing and evaluating services, thus promoting self-confidence and autonomy. Social workers strengthen their knowledge, improve their general and specific competences, drive innovation. Social workers use empowerment-based interventions in their work. Empirical research revealed how social workers perceive empowering services in day care centers, what are the factors influencing the provision of empowering services, what are the means of empowering persons with disabilities in day care centers, what are the difficulties they face in empowering persons with disabilities in day care centers, what are the ways to overcome these difficulties, what are the benefits of the services provided in the day center for persons with disabilities, what were the challenges in providing empowerment services during the COVID-19 pandemic, what were the opportunities discovered in providing empowerment services during the COVID-19 pandemic, and what are the key competences of social workers in providing empowerment services.
