The main notions: adaptation, staying the judgment, mediation, motivation, social integration of the convicts, probation, socialization, rehabilitation, social support, social service. The peculiarities of social integration of the persons who have their judgment stayed are analysed in this master’s paper. The aim of the paper is to analyse the problems that emerge owing to the lack of social integration, supervising the persons who have their judgment stayed. The reasons of staying the judgment are examined, as well as the peculiarities of social integration into the society and the factors that determine them. The experience of staying the judgment and social integration in the world and in Lithuania is compared. The peculiarities of work with adults and juveniles, that have their judgment stayed, are singled out. The problems are enumerated that are faced while carrying out the supervision and social integration of the above-mentioned persons. The effectiveness of activities of social institutions and volunteers are analysed in the paper. The empirical research has been carried out in order to define if social integration of the persons, who have their judgment stayed, is sufficient and effective, if it serves the purpose in legal and practical aspects, if the persons are motivated enough to carry out the obligations of the court and not to offend in the future.
