The goal of the Master’s task is to analyse the motivation of the staff of private and public sectors, to evaluate problems and singularities of these sectors. In the task the main activities forming the motivation index of staff and posibilities of invoking them in organization are discussed. Also the posibilities of companies to put them in practise to maintain high level of staff motivating are being evaluated. This task is performed in several organizations of private and public sectors in Kaunas. There were connections determined between motivation factors and demographic agents, identified main agents affecting work motivation in private and public sectors. According to respondents a decision can be made that the main reason of Lithuania’s employees motivation are each employee’s motives targeted on desirable results and their behaviour is consciuous achievement of these results. At the end of the master’s paper outcomes and recommendations are submitted.
