The Master's thesis "The role of the school's Child Welfare Commission in resolving adolescent conflicts" is relevant for its novelty. Child Welfare Commissions have been operating in Lithuanian schools for more than 13 years. However, very little research has been done on the work of the Commission. Therefore, the subject of this thesis is the role of the school Child Welfare Commission in the context of adolescent conflict resolution. The aim of the thesis is to identify the role of the School Child Welfare Commission in the context of adolescent conflict resolution. Objectives: 1. Identify the main features of adolescent conflict resolution. 2. To identify the role of the school's Child Welfare Commission in adolescent conflict resolution. 3. Identify the attitudes of the members of the School Child Welfare Commissions towards the characteristics of the Commission's work. The thesis is structured as an introduction, three teaching sections, conclusions, recommendations, references, summary, and appendices. The introduction presents the novelty and topicality of the topic, the scientific problem, and the need to investigate it, the object, aim, objectives and methods of the study, as well as the hypothesis and the methods of the study. In the first part of the thesis, conflict resolution and regulation of adolescents is analysed from a theoretical point of view. The second part deals with the role of the Child Welfare Commission as a mediator of conflict resolution. The third part of the thesis presents an investigation of the role of the school child welfare commission in adolescent conflict resolution. This part describes the methodology of the study and presents the characteristics of the participants and an analysis of the results. The conclusions are formulated in accordance with the objectives set out in the introduction. Recommendations are made based on the findings. The list of references includes 65 sources. The results of the empirical study shed light on the role of the school's Child Welfare Commission in resolving adolescent conflicts. It was found that the role of the Child Welfare Commission in adolescent conflict resolution is fourfold: mediator, information disseminator for those in charge, initiator of special assistance and facilitator (for school administration/teachers, adolescents, and adolescents' parents). The perception of the members of the School Child Welfare Commissions on the specificities of the Commission's work revealed that the CWC has the power to ensure the child's well-being and to resolve adolescents' conflicts.
