Abstract

The main purpose of the work for the Master‘s degree is to inspect the recidivism and its factors. To achieve this purpose, several goals have been determined: · To analyze the conception of recidivism according to a recidivist’s characteristics by the criminal law, criminology and penitentiary; · To survey the statistic data of recidivism; · Analyze the personality of a recidivist; · To survey the causality of the recidivism, to name and analyze the main factors that determine recidivism. The object of this work: factors that determine recidivism and their interaction. The work consists of introduction, general provisions, the special section, conclusion and approaches. The introduction includes the determination of the purpose of this work, main goals and hypotheses. Also the object of the work and the methods applied are determined. The general provisions include the conception of recidivism. Some attention is paid to the conception of recidivism in the criminal law, criminology and penitentiary law, their differences. Also the personality of a recidivist is analyzed and the statistic numbers of recidivism are revealed. In the special section the main features that determine recidivism are named. Most attention is paid to the moment of a recidivist encountering with different law and the sentence prosecution institutions. This is because inappropriate and ineffective work of these institutions is one of the most important factors of eruption and existence of recidivism. The conclusion and approaches include the result of this work: offers and implications that summarize the whole work are stated.
