Straipsnyje, skirtame Lietuvos Aukščiausiajam Teismui patikėtos funkcijos formuoti vienodą teismų praktiką, taikant įstatymus, trisdešimtmečiui paminėti, analizuojami kai kurie šios funkcijos įgyvendinimo aspektai. Didžiausias dėmesys skiriamas prielaidoms, kurių reikia sėkmingam teismų praktikos vienodinimui: kasacijos pagrindams, kasacinių skundų atrankai, kasacinių nutarčių motyvavimui. Taip pat aptariama galima Europos Sąjungos teisės įtaka Lietuvos Aukščiausiojo Teismo veiklai, formuojant teismų praktiką.

Moterų ir vyų darbo užmokesčio bei pajamų atotrūkio tema yra nagrinėta daugelio autorių pasaulyje ir Lietuvoje. Tačiau monografijoje išryškintos Lietuvoje gana nelauktos tendencijos ir pokyčiai bei pateikti nauji tyrimų rezultatai lyčių lygybės srityje. Remiantis autorių atlikto tyrimo išvadomis, žvelgiant iš rinkos ekonomikos 30 metų laikotarpio retrospektyvos, Lietuvoje lyčių lygybės srityje pasiekti įspūdingi rezultatai. Svarbiausi pasiekimai lyčių lygybės srityje – per 30 metų pasikeitė lyčių lygybės stereotipai, pastebima sparti moterų dalyvavimo darbo rinkoje pažanga, pasikeitė darbdavių požiūris į moterį – darbuotoją: darbdaviai aukštai vertina moterų darbo potencialą, jų išsilavinimą ir profesines savybes. Tačiau, nepaisant pasiektos pažangos, atlikto tyrimo rezultatai leidžia iškelti Lietuvoje naują akcentą ir iššūkį lyčių lygybės srityje – didelę moterų diskriminaciją pagal amžių, ypač priešpensinio ir pensinio amžiaus moterų. Ši problematika nors ir buvo nagrinėjama Lietuvoje, tačiau dažnai suvokiama kaip savaime suprantama, kad pajamos, sulaukus pensinio amžiaus, ir turi mažėti. Autorių pozicija yra kita – vyresnio amžiaus žmonių profesinis potencialas yra didžiulis neišnaudotas šalies ekonomikos resursas ir tikslinga jį efektyviai panaudoti šalies darbo rinkoje. Sparčiai didėjant visuomenės senėjimo ir emigracijos iš Lietuvos rodikliams, turėtų didėti vyresnio amžiaus žmonių paklausa darbo rinkoje. Sukaupta vyresnio amžiaus žmonių darbo patirtis, žinios, profesinis potencialas turėtų būti panaudoti Lietuvos ekonomikoje, ypač sparčiai mažėjant darbo jėgai dėl didelio masto emigracijos iš šalies. Autorių atlikti darbuotojų ir darbdavių sociologiniai tyrimai leido atskleisti gilumines lyčių, ypač vyresnio amžiaus žmonių pajamų skirtumų priežastis. Kaip vieną iš svarbių monografijos privalumų galima pažymėti ir tai, kad darbas turi ne tik teorinę, bet ir praktinę reikšmę darbuotojams ir darbdaviams vertinant moterų ir vyrų darbo užmokesčio skirtumus. Pasiūlytas LOGIB metodas leidžia palyginti, greitai ir paprastai įvertinti moterų ir vyrų padėtį darbo užmokesčio srityje visoje Lietuvoje ir bet kurioje verslo įmonėje ar įstaigoje. Tai – naujas žingsnis lyčių ekonomikos mokslinių tyrimų srityje. Darbas yra inovacinis, turi mokslinę ir praktinę vertę, jis būtų naudingas mokslo bendruomenės atstovams, politikams, ekonomistams, verslininkams, darbdaviams, darbuotojams, studentams, nevyriausybinių organizacijų atstovams, besidomintiems lyčių lygybės klausimais.

The text is designed to explicate the logic of globalization at various levels, in distinction from other forms of presumed building of global systems. The argument is presented to show that the latter is a building of autocratic empire on the basis of some national or theocratic basis. This type of global reach is not designed to involve the populations, whether they are local-national or subjected to the edicts of such autocratic/theocratic domination. Modern Western globalization is based on a unique ontology – nature is a composite of material parts – and on mathematical metaphysics – all material events can be constructed in accordance with calculations and thus transformed to serve human needs everywhere. In this sense, this globalization is regarded as a progress for human benefit. In contemporary epoch, there is a confrontation between the autocratic/theocratic structures and the modern Western globalization. Lithuania being in the “middle” between them, is in a position to offer an alternative culture which is both ecologically sound and ethically responsible. Thus the preservation of Lithuanian culture is significant for the preservation of all life.

Joe Pilotta and Jill Adair McCaughan give us analysis about the problems with which marketing is facing in 21st century: advertising is viewed as manipulation form, impact and influence level of marketing are low as never. Authors briefly discuss about the existing theories of marketing and why existing theories do not reflect the real situation at present. Book highlights and reveals the importance to change model and logical approach of marketing from consumer orientation to customer orientation. It’s important to underline that customer needs identification should not be linked with past trends or rating. In order to achieve the maximum and overall benefit it is important to include customer in the process of analyzes. Such measures should help to realize the customer needs and also goods or services perspectives in markets. The book authors clarify the possibility to transform perception about Marketing Mix Modeling and analyze the need to adapt existing marketing models to the changing environment and media. In this book, authors try to demonstrate academic credentials as well as writing for the professor and professional of marketing, advertising, and brand.

This book is a condensation of critical essays in contemporary culture within the context of European phenomenology, employing its own self-critiques in order to demonstrate the methodological and experiential dimensions of the logic of culture. These essays are neither a part of foundationalism or foundation-less. Rather the experience of the spacetime movement-logic of permanence/flux, stasis/flux, and the permutation of enhancement/reclamation and of permanence/flux and permanent/permanence—are critical for opening cultural studies to civilization and cosmological (world) investigations. The contemporary world of globalization, with boundaries becoming rather insignificant and the intermixing of global expression, requires broader and more-encompassing observations. This book will be of interest in the social sciences and in comparative studies in the humanities, for programs in cultural studies, and in courses emphasizing cultural systems such as philosophical anthropology.

This updated checklist is intended to be a collaborative effort by a team of taxonomists to present a hitherto little known diversity of the Nepticulidae of the Crimea. A total of 64 species of Nepticulidae are listed. The following 26 species are recorded for the first time from the Crimea: Stigmella confusella (Wood & Walsingham, 1894), S. tiliae (Frey, 1856), S. microtheriella (Stainton, 1854), S. alnetella (Stainton, 1854), S. glutinosae (Stainton, 1858), S. desperatella (Frey, 1856), S. torminalis (Wood, 1890), S. crataegella (Klimesch, 1936), S. hahniella (Wörz, 1937), S. catharticella (Stainton, 1853), S. malella (Stainton, 1854), S. rhamnella (Herrich-Schäffter, 1860), S. ulmivora (Fologne, 1860), S. trimaculella (Haworth, 1828), S. obliquella (Heinemann, 1862), S. tityrella (Stainton, 1854), S. carpinella (Heinemann, 1862), S. lemniscella (Zeller, 1839), S. plagicolella (Stainton, 1854), S. samiatella (Zeller, 1939), Bohemannia pulverosella (Stainton, 1849), Ectoedemia mahalebella (Klimesch, 1936), Fomoria septembrella (Stainton, 1849), Trifurcula silviae van Nieukerken, 1990, T. macedonica Z. Laštůvka & A. Laštůvka, 1998, T. eurema (Tutt, 1899). One species, Ectoedemia spinosella (Joannis, 1908), is excluded here from the list of the Nepticulidae of the Crimea. Thirty-nine selected species are illustrated with photographs of the leaf-mines, and forty-five species with photographs of genitalia.
