The concept of professional or instructional language has been long discussed and developed in didactic literature. Language for special purposes has become a new teaching object since the end of the 20th century. The pragmatic purpose of teaching the language for special purposes and, in particular, teaching foreign languages for special purposes, has been recognized by publishing industries. The learners' view in Mykolas Romeris University testifies to the fact, that language for special purposes is a markedly different object of study in their learning experienec. Students consider professional language as motivational in professional study, useful for career purposes and, in combination with other university subjects, providing good basis for employment.
