Digital right management regulatory model in China’s content industry

In order to coordinate the management of copyright in digital environment, known as Digital Rights Management (DRM), is the need for creators to protect the copyrighted content in the internet environment. This paper summarizes a brief introduction about DRM's working principle and its current development in China's content industry. One outcome of this article seeks for relative improvement measures for Chinese content industry market development on the basis of economic beneficial assessment. Methodology: This article intends to introduce readers a basic concept of Digital Rights Management and its working system model. Literature review on the very relevant source and material on China's digital content industry also presents general overview of China's music industry development and the problems encountered by the content industry in China. Findings: What I obtained in this paper is that China' digital content industry has developed rapidly although it started very late comparing with other developed countries. Even China enjoys a quite large potential content industry market. The very sensible details and data collected in this article showed that it is necessary for China to improve the outer environment and inner regulatory for the content industry future development.
