Parents and class teachers’ cooperation in dealing with students’ learning motivation problems

One of the biggest challenges facing schools teachers is to enhance students’ learning motivation. In order to enhance motivation, the educational process must involve parents. Schools and parents cooperation enables teachers and parents to learn from each other and leads to effective problem solving. Purpose of this article - to reveal the parents and the class teacher cooperation in dealing with the peculiarities of problems of students’ motivation in learning. This article examines what assistance parents receive from the school in solving problems of students’ learning motivation, it discusses how the school and family cooperate. The study found out that students’ learning motivation generally decreses due to the high workload in school, learning organization and learning material presentation as well as the lack of warm relationship between the teacher and the children. The most common form of cooperation between class teachers with parents in solving motivation problems – parents’ meetings and telephone calls with the class teacher. Parents would like to meet the class teachers, as well as content teachers individually to discuss the child’s motivation problems.
