Abstract
The objective of the article is to clarify the aims of legal arrival of foreign countries citizens and stateless people in Lithuania and the duration of their stay in Kaunas. In this article the legal regulation of foreigners' stay in Lithuania is given. The peculiarities of demographic structure of foreigners and stateless people in Kaunas is analyzed. In paradigm of Kaunas it is analyzed from which countries foreigners most often come to live temporarily or constantly. Presented materials about foreign countries citizens and stateless people who apply for permissions to live temporarily or constantly in the Republic of Lithuania.
