The article discusses the intensity of the activities of the Vilnius Dietine (Lith. seimelis) during the period from 1717 to 1795 highlighting the estimation of the time and duration of its sessions. The total of 102 sessions of the Vilnius Dietine have been identified (on the average 1,3 sessions per year), which used to be held in February (59 sessions or 58,4 proc.) and August (21 sessions or 19,8 proc.) – such a distribution of sessions was mainly influenced by the intensity of activities of the Supreme Tribunal of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Seimas of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The annual dynamics of the dietine sessions revealed that one session of the Vilnius Dietine was usually held within a year (42 cases, 60 proc. of all the sessions), sometimes two (24 cases, 34,3 proc.); three sessions per year were especially uncommon (4 cases, 5,7 proc.). The research pays attention to the importance of cross-institutional links and reveals the peculiarities of activities of the dietines in the GDL, which have so far received little attention of researchers.
