Tyrimo ribotumas – tyrimo teiginiams ir išvadoms pateikti naudojami teoriniai metodai, remiamasi moksline literatūra, teisės aktais taip siekiant suformuoti teorines nuostatas tolimesniam empiriniam tyrimui. Praktinė reikšmė – šiuo tyrimu prisidedama prie platesnio socialinių technologijų naudojimo skatinimo, jas naudojant kaip instrumentą, palengvinantį visuomenės įtraukimo į sprendimų priėmimo procesą, identifikuojant esamą situaciją ir nustatant, kokie teisės aktų pakeitimai ar papildymai yra reikalingi efektyvesniam socialinių technologijų panaudojimui nagrinėjamame segmente. Originalumas/Vertingumas – Socialinių technologijų teisiniai aspektai, jų naudojimo įtraukiant virtualias bendruomenes bei visuomenę apskritai į sprendimų priėmimo procesą teisinės prielaidos nėra iki šiol Lietuvos mokslininkų analizuoti objektai.
Findings – After analysis of Lithuanian Republic legal acts was identified that only partial legal presumption for involvement of virtual communities in the decision-making process with social technologies exist. The existing situation does not allow using full potential of the social technologies and synergies effect created with collective intelligence as well as maximizing the availability for the society to participate in the decision-making process. Research limitations– The study was accomplished and the findings are provided based on theoretical methods: it was used document analysis (the scientific literature, the legislation) to formulate theoretical provisions for further empirical investigation. Practical implications – This study contributes to the broader promotion of the use of social technologies, using them as a tool that facilitates public involvement in the decision-making process, identifying the current situation and determines what legislative changes or additions are needed for more effective usage of social technologies in the analyzed segment. Originality/Value – The legal aspects of social technologies, their usage involvement of virtual communities and society in general to the decision-making process was not yet analyzed by Lithuanian scientists.
