The sensemaking of the role of field placement supervisors of social work students in child- and youth-oriented social service organisations

The objective of this article is to highlight the qualitative categories of the sensemaking of the role of social workers as student supervisors working in child- and youth-oriented social service organisations and placement perspectives. The data was collected using the method of semi-structured interview. 5 student supervisors took part in the research. Student supervisors link the sensemaking of the field placement to: the implementation of realistic placement aspirations of students, their own abilities to share the experience of their professional activity, the creation of student learning environments and reflection spaces in the organisation. Student supervisors link the perspective of the field placement to: the culture of reflection in organizations, the abilities of the student supervisor which enable students to reflect on their experience and create interactions with the clients and employees and authentically participate in the activity of their organisation.
