The article deals with the importance of pedagogue's ethic competences to the pupils' positive socialization at school. The theoretic part presents the conception and criteria of pedagogue's ethic competences, specifying the following three aspects requiring deeper discussion: 1) training as professional activity; 2) planning of the training process in the aspect of values; 3) application of pedagogue's professional ethic principles in the training process. The empiric part of the article reveals the following: 1) distribution of ethic values by their importance to the pupils' socialization at school and their requirements to pedagogue's ethic competences; 2) links between pedagogue's behavior culture and social skills by their importance to pupils; 3) opinion of pedagogues on the links between ethic and socialization.
