The first section of the study also discusses the idea of basic human rights as the rights to different forms of personai identity. In order to expand the discussion the reference is made to the concept of G. W. F. Hegel explaining human freedom as the choice of moral life purpose and the implementation of it by the means which are acceptable to all members of community. The monograph contends that a human being legitimately seeks oneself as the physical identity (and mental integrity), personal identity (privacy), individual identity (dignity) as well as the identity in the public system of economic, social and political institutes (public autonomy) and, finally, the historical identity (belonging to ethical community, which has coalesced into the state).
