Straipsnyje trumpai apžvelgiama biotechnologijų vystymosi istorija, ją galimybės bei sąlytis su aplinkos apsauga. Biotechnologijos kaip neišvengiamas civilizacijos raidos etapas, galintis turėti įvairiapusę reikšmę. Nagrinėjamas ryšys tarp globalizacijos procesų ir biotechnologijų raidos.
Abstract (en)
The biotechnology is the industrial use of living organisms or biological techniques developed through the basic researches. Biotechnology is one of the most long-range activities and one of the most hazardous for human health and environment. Liability and redress for damage resulting from handling of the biotechnology products should be strongly regulate. Globalization process and biotechnology are directly linked.
