The main euroregions development tendencies were formed from the results of analyses. The main types of Lithuanian euroregions, found in 1997-2004: regions of former and new EU member states and Commonwealth of Independent States - BALTIJA; regions of new EU member states and NVS states - NEMUNAS. EŽERŲ KRAŠTAS, SAULĖ, ŠEŠUPĖ; regions of new EU member states; inner borderland regions of Lithuania. The number of states in Lithuanian euroregions fluctuates from 2 (BARTUVA) to 6 (BALTIJA). Regions of Latvia (in 4 from 6 euroregions), Karaliaučius (Kaliningrad) (in 4 from 9 euroregions). Poland (in 3 from 6 euroregions) arc most common in cooperation with Lithuanian euroregions regions of Karaliaučius (Kaliningrad) and Belarus participates in all euroregions except BARTUVA. The main courses of Lithuanian euroregions: borderland regions' integration into common cultural and economical space, economical development of borderland regions, infrastructure development, employment development, raising the investment, creating and implementation of inter-regional projects.
