In seeking apply foreign educational experience in Utena Medical College for training social workers the curriculum analysis of German Kassel College, Norway Volda Work Institute (Hogeschool) has been done. From the analysis of western social work studies the following could be noted: social work studies are orientated to develop students’ individual work and way of thinking, critical approach, to teach to identify the problem, to work out hypothesis ant strategies, to apply different alternatives, to look for solutions and concepts. Problematic teaching through integrated studies is also of great importance. Foreign educational institutional experience in training social workers in Utena Medical College is being applied using various educational technologies: module, problem solving, differentiated and distance teaching. The possibilities of applying foreign educational experience in Utena Medical College disclose through participation in international projects and cooperation with foreign educational institutions at developing curriculums, raising teachers’ qualifications and applying modern educational technologies.
