Interestingly, there is a paradox between psychological resilience and happiness. The problem is that psychological well-being and resilience are often equated. Psychological resilience is an individual's ability to positively cope with stress and adapt to challenges in life. Meanwhile, subjective well-being captures a person's psychological state at a given moment that varies from context to context and from person to person. Although, these are two different constructs that are interconnected, resilience is not about a specific moment, it is a dynamic process of coping with stress or daily challenges. The purpose of the study is to determine and compare the relationships between psychological resilience and subjective well-being in adults with demographic, social and psychological factors. Methodology. A representative survey of the population of Lithuania, which includes 1003 respondents aged 18-96, selected according to multistage probability sampling (representative sample according to the criteria of age, gender, and place of residence). The survey method is a personal interview at the respondent's home, conducted in 2023. Scales used: Connor-Davidson Resilience Scale (CD-RISC-10) (Connor and Davidson, 2003), World Health Organization Well-Being Index (WHO-5), and a single-item measure of stress (Salminen et al., 2014). Questions included: sociodemographic (age, gender, nationality, education, main occupation, place of residence, marital status, household size, financial income, Lithuanian counties), self-satisfaction, satisfaction with one's health, satisfaction with personal relationships, satisfaction with life, sense of safety in everyday life and the importance of a personal relationship with God. The results of the study allow usto make assumptions about the importance of predicting and intervening in the psychological resilience and subjective well-being of adults. Results: primary data are in the process of collection and analysis.
