Students' satisfaction of international staff's emergency remote teaching due to COVID-19 (a case study)

The study portrayals a case of intercultural collaboration during the academic year 2020-2021 characterized as a lockdown year due to coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The study has been conducted in Mykolas Romeris University, located in the capital city Vilnius in Lithuania. The research compares students’ satisfaction with a course “Asian Community: Culture and New Media”, one implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic with the same course implemented in 2019-2020 ac. year. The results of this case study show an increase in students’ satisfaction with the study subject’s remote teaching. This study introduces a topic in the study on COVID-19 and education by considering the perspectives of learners in the international collaboration context. The results of the study provide further insight into matters experienced by students during the pandemic, and how educators may heed the opinions of students when improving future international teaching programs.
