Straipsnyje apžvelgiama Lietuvos demografinė dinamika 2000-2012 metais, ES šalių ir Lietuvos senėjimo tendencijos, analizuojamas proceso poveikis ekonomikai ir socialinei politikai, numatomos senėjimo prielaidos iki 2050-2060 metų ir priemonės, kaip palengvinti arba visiškai panaikinti su šiuo procesu susijusias problemas.

The article reviewed the demographic dynamics of Lithuania from 2000 until 2012, the EU and Lithuania aging, the process of analyzing the economy and the impact of social policy, intended to aging assumptions from 2050 to 2060, and how to alleviate or eliminate the resulting problems in the process.
